Our 3rd day was such a blast!
The dramamine had finally worn off and we were ready to hit the ground running.
We started off by exploring the island via golf cart. There are few actual cars allowed on the island. I'm not sure if there's a law restricting cars or not, but the locals all have their own golf cart that they zip around on. Then we rented a boat and enjoyed an afternoon out at sea. This was Matt's favorite part of the entire weekend. That man, when he gets on a boat...I'll just say, when he was younger he wanted to be a sea captain. Yeah. He's cute like that.
After that we bought some drop line and went fishing. We didn't catch anything but it was still fun watching the fish nibble the cheese off the hook.
After that we went back to the hotel, showered and watched a movie. It was amazing!
And, even though it's not important, I feel the need to mention our nightly runs to Vons Express which was just a couple blocks away. I ate more sugar and snacks than I'd like to admit. It was maybe enough to be embarrassed about the maid seeing all the wrappers in the garbage...so we maybe took some with us to dispose in another garbage. Oops :) I have a candy addiction, okay? It's a work in progress.
^Can you even believe that water? It was so clear and so warm, even in April.
^He's legit yo.
^My first time driving (is driving the right word?) a boat all by myself. I was pro status.
^Seals would surround us and give us a little show, almost like they knew it was my first time to Catalina and they wanted to make it special.
^Gosh, he's cute!
^Catalina has to bring birds of prey in and hires people to walk them around to keep the seagulls at bay.
^Matt didn't catch a fish but he has great plans of photoshopping a great one in. Which is even more impressive, if you ask me.
I probably had candy, in some form, for dinner most nights.
Wow! It's so pretty!! Looks like y'all had a great time!
